With temperatures around 50F tight valves are more of an impediment to starting than bad glow plugs. I've found if the engine is in reasonable condition you can get it started by placing a fully charged battery on the car and hook another fully charged battery to jump with. Just hold the key an

You should also be sure that a CD is what you want. It'll be fun to have a CD around again! Now that I have the 03 Dodge Cummins diesel quad cab pickup, and my dad has a minivan, the CD will just be a fun car as it should be. It may be a step up toward a wagon in the long run once it's fixed
