Well, you all recall the 140 all the sudden blowing huge amounts of smoke. Suspected turbo. Well, I started tearing into it today. Yep, its the turbo. There is alot of oil in the turbo area. Even see a a little bit seeping thru the joints of the back housing, and turbo to exhaust manifold. Also, when I pulled the air cleaner to turbo pipe, the nut and front of the shaft was laying there. I guess it sheared off. Looking at my 603 engine I have in the garage, its a 603.970, the 140 uses a .971. The turbo is different. Could probably make it work, but would prefer to not have to rig anything. Will either see about getting this one rebuilt, or ordering one from Rusty. Hopefully they are not too expensive. -- Kaleb C.
