They're a pain in the ass if you regularly have rear seat passengers.
Ditto that. I got custody of my boys right after I got my coupe. About drove
me nuts, having them climb in and out. Kids and coupes don't mix.

When I bought the '78 300CD, my sisters and I were driving it up to
Oregon
from Southern California at near 80MPH at some points. It felt right
at
home.
Assuming you fit at all, rear-seat time in a coupe is no problem at
all. It's the getting in and out that's the PITA, so for a
Anyone on the list would know that I've been fighting with the valves on the
1981 300CD, especially those on cylinder #5, but thanks to Dennis T and some
shorter wrenches, I was able to get JUST the amount of room I needed to
tackle them! I went back through and check the clearance on all of

wd-40 in an indirect-ignition engine = bad bad news. But congratulations,
and well done. Those coupes are a blast to drive, and they're even better
when you have one with a turbo

Ether or starting fluid - BAD. WD-40 is MUCH better (but shouldn't be
necessary).

I always thought that sticking any type of aerosol starting fluid was bad
news for the MB engines. I kept hearing to never throw starting fluid or
ether into the OM engines, so I extrapolated this to WD-40. Come on, I
don't use fuels other than #2 and a little motor oil now and again.
On
starting fluid is bad if the glow plugs are working. If the plugs are
completely dead and its an emergency, starting fluid will not usually
cause any harm. Wd40 as I said, is just oil, it will not hurt anything.

I have an '82 which I have never even driven, yet I love it.
Someday I'll get to it.

CD's rock. I love mine. It's fun to drive, has pep, and handles sporty
compared to the D/SD. Besides, it just looks cool.

I do like the 300CD! It does have a quieter ride, a more sporty feel, and
good looks although I can't see it hahahahaha! Is the one that you have
your eye on the same one that you saw for $2500 that was going to be posted
in your local paper? If so, I hope that you buy it and enjoy it!
yes, same one. Comes out thursday.
