I had no idea this was a cult classic.  For comparison's sake - this is
above what a pristine 300TD would sell for.  As one observer commented:

"This is an original Grand Wagoneer with almost a hundred and fifty
thousand miles on it. They were notorious for leaking oil from the front
and rear main seals. As a result, most engines needed work at a hundred
thousand miles unless they were well maintained. Expect to spend some money
on the engine. This is an all original Wagoneer with some cosmetic upgrades
and no mention of significant engine work. I have owned several of these,
and I found the low mileage ones to be much preferable. However, they are
gorgeous, and once you’ve owned one and then sell it you will want another
one in six months. Windows, especially the rear tailgate, are finicky. And
expect the automatic door locks to lock two or three doors, and not always
the same ones until you flick the switch multiple times. Quirky, beautiful,
and addictive."
