Hi All, I was getting ready to install a new "Combination Switch" (MB Part 000-545-22-10} on my 2004 E320 4matic because the wiper function stopped working. I found a few youtube videos online for the repair and all videos call for locking the steering wheel sensor in place when removed using a red plastic pin that should have been included with the part. It's imperative this sensor remains in place prior to being reinstalled. In addition, if the vehicle was built prior to September 2003 a modification has to be made to the steering cover shroud by notching out a section to accommodate the design of the new switch. There should have been directions and the plastic pin in the parts box for this modification but they were not. I reached out to the Mercedes Dealer and he said he was not aware of what was included with the part but will order another and check.
