I think the W211s are pretty solid, but I only speak from the experience of
owning a single example, my 2004 E500 sedan.
The common trouble spots seem to be the airmatic suspension, the SBC pump (not
sure which years specifically, but may be still be covered under warranty by
MB?) and I've read

The carpets were atrocious. Every time I’d run the extractor over it, it comes
out looking like regular coffee or chocolate milk.
I’ve suspended Martha OPS to get cleaned up to go see Steely Dan…oh
That’s not far from me. What are the things to check on these?
