Need a fairly high-powered laser to do that.  My 60W might do it with a special coating that absorbs the laser energy.  Something called Cermark is supposedly the best, but others say molybdenum sulfide dry lubricant works too.  I had some and tried it on some aluminum soda can stock, it sorta
