I have several, currently sorting out an 87 760 sedan. They are fun, parts are
cheap, more complicated then an old diesel Benz when something isn’t right, but
overall fun easy and cheap.

My suggestion is that you do not want the automatic transmission. If you
can find the manual with overdrive, it would be OK. The one with the
turbo would be even better and with the turbo, you could live with an AT.

actually belonged to a friend of his, she sold it to someone and my
buddy saw it listed and bought it after it was "gone" for a few years.
