I bought 2 from MB a couple of years ago - replaced my wife key
without problems and recently my key needed a replacement. I put
silicone on the key and tried to pull it through. All I managed to do
was to split the new rubber cover. Then I tried the list hoping there

Years ago I bought a replacement key head, I think it came from MB. As Jim
said they are a hard plastic. Two pieces, insert key through slot in the top,
install cap into slot to close it up. They are not as nice as the factory key
head, but look correct. I think they didn't last as long.

The one on the Frankenheap is split out, I just used the good black 3M
weatherstrip cement to pot the metal thing back into the head, and clamped
it. Seems very solid, now. IIRC I bought a replacement head once, it was
harder plastic and had a keyway type of insert to close it up.

way ro attach the rubber holders to MB Ign Keys? Trying to pull it
through from the top seems like it would be the way to go but it s
not, I split one of the holders trying to do it that way. I was
thinking
