FWIW I have been happy with Coopers. They have been quiet, at least compared to
MasterCraft.
I might be wrong about the tires on the Jetta, all I remember is she complained
about road noise, I had never heard of them, and "Pantera" sounds familiar.

The Tire Warehouse guy told me they were the TW house brand.
I'd asked for something "good" when I bought them. When I went back I
complained about the noise. Turns out what I wanted was something better...

Wife's 2019 Jetta came with Panteras from the factory (or dealer swapped them
before selling). Yes they are noisy.

I had 2 "Pantera" tires put on the 2015 Jetta iin the spring, they were like
$70 each. They're terrible, make as much noise as the Grabbers on the pickup.A
couple weeks ago I had 2 Falkens (I can't remember the model) put on, they were
like $140 each but are very quiet and hav
AFAIK Mastercraft are the bargain line from Cooper. Don't know their country of
manufacture.

The summer tires on the Saturn have seen better days, and I was afraid I
wouldn't be able to get any sort of rim covers for $50 if I waited until
April, so I bought these today. Only thing I see really wrong with them
is it looks like they made a 480 treadwear tire out of 700 treadwear
rubber b
You STOLE those tires.

Discount tire was having a good rebate sale on tires this weekend so I bought a
set of Hankooks for the 240d for $55 each with $135 rebate, and a set of
milestar or something like that for around the same price for the 01 e320. We
will see how they compare to the Michelins I would have normally
