I'd be on the lookout for a 3 cyl Kubota powered Cub Cadet, like a 782D. I sometimes see them for $1000-1500, but that's not a tractor in pristine condidion. I'd get a belt drive 10kw generator head and run it off the front PTO. In good weather, I could mow my lawn with it.
