On non Mercedes I have used drydene (now the heavy duty lubes division of castrol) pyroplex in either the red or blue varieties... The blue is REALLY neat/good stuff since it seems to adhere to metal even better when water enters the picture than it does in air... It might be good monowiper

They were probably to be repacked at each "E" service. I put over 230K on my first SDL, and never popped off a hubcap to look at the grease. That introduces dirt anyway. It had over 400k on it when it went to okieacres rest home. The only times i have seen wheel bearing problems is when the
