I can get the phone number for the service, but don't have any special "in". However, I gather transfer drivers don't get paid much, more of a supplement to retirement or student income. Wife also said the drivers have to be 100% available to make a run - sometimes long distance if a car is going across the country - or they just don't get called back. There are many great, local restaurants in Chapel Hill and Durham, if he's willing to move a little west.
