HF has these on sale for $12. I was thinking to get the 1/4 and 3/8. Anyone
used these? I’m sure they are ultra-accurate but I’m thinking they’re probably
“good enough”

I use the quarter inch one. Snappy checked it for me, it's pretty close.
YMMV.

I think you meant to say, "I’m sure they are no
I have a few of them. I can't say I have tested them to see how
accurate they are but then seem to work fine. I seem to recall somebody
did a test of them, a video or something, and they were accurate. I
could be dreaming this though.

I’ve got one of the 3/8” ones. I don’t care for it as I don’t think it does a
good job “clicking” when the set toque is reached. It’s more like a pivoting
action that you can’t feel well in the handle.

I have a 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 and they all click pretty good when the
pivot. Maybe yours was defective?

Yeah, I wondered about that. It pivots, but you don’t get anything in the way
of a click.

Yea, mine do the pivot, but there is a definite click that you can't
miss. I think they are lifetime warranty, maybe you should take yours
back and exchange it. Or perhaps you are just so old, its hard for you
to notice the click.

Generally good in their mid-range. Like most torque wrenchs, less accurate at
the extremes.
