Harry Bell turned 94 today, and celebrated with his crew at the Triplett Day drug store lunch room.   Harry's WWII story is in this book:

https://www.amazon.com/Forgotten-Heroes-World-War-SoldiersLand/dp/1589799631 by Thomas Simmons, one of the crew that gathers at 10:30 an at the Drug store for coffee, stories good times.   The group keeps a folder at the drugstore with the "best of" jokes and a record of whose turn it is to pay the bill.

After the War Harry was an engineer for Mississippi Power and his wife Louise ran a travel agency a block up the street from Triplett-Day. They closed the travel agency a couple years ago, and Louise died last summer.  Harry is typical of WWII vets and never draws attention to himself, but he donates to a lot of causes and has been a great support to the church.

Harry is getting frail, and I am not sure how many more Birthdays he will have.   There are not a lot of WWII vets left to send a birthday greeting to.    If y'all want to send him a birthday greeting, you can send a card in care of
