Mileage is not be all to end all, sure the preverbial driven to church on Sundays by a little old rich lady, who took the car in every year for a service is always a juicy find but it can also mean that the car stood in a shed for a long time. Anyway if Kalebster wants it, he better get after it, or can wait for the next green green green 123 to pop up. Guess no harm in putting in a low ball offer but 500 would sound silly, even by our standards.

who use to own a thistle green green tan 123 230E, which was in pretty good nick and bought off an elderly couple

My experience as well. How much will you have to pay for any MB with 68k
miles accumulated at the standard rate of 12k/yr. (a 2008 model)? It looks
like a bargain from that perspective.

Hendrik makes a very valid point, and one that pretty much applies to any
used car purchased. That is, spend the money up front for the very best
example you can find. You'll be better off than buying a fixer-upper or one
that needs work, as it will most likely end up costing you more.

BTDT myself.
