I've both. There are insane amounts of stuff that the aftermarket tools cant
do; transmission temperature comes to mind, as does HID headlight aiming...

I have an older Auto Enginuity scanner without the specialty Mercedes
software and it works fine on our 99 E300. I put it on a 10 year old
laptop. You need a serial port. The newer bluetooth one looks nice,
but with a cable I'm less likely to leave it behind. They have been
good with providing free

Mobil 1 formula M (only), yeah, it's full FSS. With the proper filters and oil
it will go a min of 10k between changes (up to 20k for extensive highway miles!)

Yup...regular people don't get it. Aside from my '83 Subaru and my '98 F150
(both were new purchases), getting my '05 E320 in '08 was as close to "new"

I was at one of my dealer customers today and spotted a silver 99
E430 in the back they just took in on trade for a little old lady
on a Cadillac. I asked them how much figuring on about 6k maybe
and they said they would wholesale it to me for 3k. I stroked
