The Klann worked like a charm. Taking out the left spring was a bit scary as it
was cracked at base causing the whole spring to bow out. It therefore did not
fit snugly into the compressor. Took a chance and used it anyway. No broken
bones or cracked skulls. Had to stop working for the day as

tool from the hole in the top of the spring housing or from the bottom. It
seems as if the nut gets oriented at the bottom spring compressor plate but I
seem to recall that you tighten the tool from the top.

I think I did the tightening from the top on my 123 when I did mine. I
also had to shave the hole a bit to get the shaft to fit in there. (Um,

You put it in and access it from the top in a W116, 123, and 126. From the
bottom in a W124.
