Starship Troopers is one of my favorites, just checked and it was written in
1959!
My favorite is still Friday, followed by Space Cadet and Have Spacesuit
will Travel. I never finished Stranger in a Strange Land but I was very
young when I started it, I should try again.

I really enjoy his whole body of work. Heinlein and Herbert would be really
good for basing spiritual followings. Heinlein is much more self consistent in
his universe.
