If I remember correctly the 6V bugs had a cable tween the gauge and tank and the buses didn't have a gauge, just a little handle you turned when the gas ran out and then you better get some soonest. It wasn't till the 12V cars came in that the gas gauge went to electric in the bug and a gauge w

Dan the first thing to try is to disconnect the vacuum from the transmission alltogether. That will give the hardest shift. All that the vacuum does is to cause the modulator to reduce the internal pressure on the clutches at low to partial throttle. In normal use as you push harder on the ped
