Not a Mercedes, and not even diesel, but I picked up an old Ford 9N tractor
this weekend that needs work.
Needs new wiring, points, coil, wires, and the tranny is stuck in gear. Also
needs paint, but that is after I get 'er running. I think everything is
fixable with a little work. Anyone out
f and the correct
paint at the local TSC.
Good luck, Mike

Huh? IIRC the clutch is on the left side and the brake pedals are both on

engage both as far as I can tell.

that never worked on any of ours. The brake engages long before the
clutch disengages. I can manipulate the brake and accelerator pedals
one footed on SF-grade hills. But never could get brake and clutch
on the FOrd at the same time.

But you had to know that you were going for both before you started.
Not a good design, L/R brakes on the same side is best. Or a hand
clutch like our Moline UTS.

Some of them have a hand lever added to the left brake pedal, so you
could try to brake and clutch at the same time. On ours, the hand
brake took so much effort to get any braking, that you couldn't keep
on the right brake the clutch and the left brake at the same time and

never spin on a dime. The square dancing tractors use IH model Cs,
cause they are smaller, lighter and easier to load and unload, and
still spin on a dime, enabling the tractors to square dance.

not on 8n and 9n When you get to the golden jubilees, they have both
brakes on the right.

Yep, the 200 is an updated C with live hydraulic. both the Super C
and 200, and everything newer, had live hydraulic. Handy little tractors.
