Yeah, why make it complicated? Just use L (or R) and make sure all
the knobs are set to make that practical. Set centered, or slammed
all the way to L (or R). Just because it has stereo outputs, doesn't
mean you have to use them!
It would be different if you have stereo _inputs_ to worry

I have a small event I'm helping with. I volunteered to set up the PA. I
will have four 8-ohm PA speakers. Don't care about stereo here so I'm
planning to hook them up as a pair of speakers connected in parallel,
wired in series to another pair in
