What can a citizen do to resist and punish?
Perhaps what I do is what you will flesh out - I participate as little

I imbibed some moonshine in NC - interesting experience. Everyone
used the same Mason jar in the freezer. Open freezer, take a swig,
put the jar back in the freezer. Good stuff? - I dunno,

True, but it's got to be darned near at minimums, even for the 737s that fly in
there. I'm always digging in my heels to do a Fred Flintstone whenever I've
landed there. Especially when it's raining.
Visions of ending up in the gas station across the street from the end of the

I saw that, and almost posted it because Oklahoma is NOT in the this 10
worst list! However, when you dig into the original report, we are in the
next group of ten . . .
I also question the methodology - they ranked the States based on
corruption convictions - wouldn't the MOST corrupt States
Yeah, SC is not in the top 10, maybe after the next round of indictments
and trials we will be.

Rate of convictions is probably a good predictor of number of
corruption events. In a really bad situation, there may be no
enforecement, which would lower the rate, but I suspect most of these
are state vs county or Feds vs State convictions, so the logic holds.
Not where I want to live,
My heart is swelling with pride to not see Maryland on the list.

I am totally surprised RI is not on there. We have a twice convicted ex
mayor running again to be mayor of Providence. FBI IRS just raided

My wife grew up in Joliet. She agrees about the corruption.

We had some discussion recently on the best places to live, by other

The 10 most corrupt states in the U.S.
The list is:
1. Mississippi
