My doc suggested at bedtime as I mentioned before. It’s not going to hurt any way you do it so try that and see if it works. If not try the others, see what works for you. The med basically inhibits acid production so whenever it is an issue would be what to get out ahead of. --R Sent from

Just bought my first box of 75 mg Zantac. Directions state to take one 30 to 60 minutes BEFORE eating to prevent symptoms, but can also be taken on the spot to relieve symptoms. Question: If I eat 3 hrs. before bedtime, then wake up 3-4 hours later with heartburn, how should I take the pill?
