BTW, should he take his car ('85 BMW 318i) to DC? I'm thinking probably not. Wilton Only if he hates the car. no parking, expensive to rent parking. Check the theft stats for BMWs in DC. Probably high theft rate. if he finds a place to park it, it will likely be bashed or vandalized.

Probably depends on where he lives. Grandson had such a convenient route on public transportation in DC, he left his truck in Florida. Then, after he had worked and lived a while in NYC where he got a better job, he sold the truck since parking was such a problem and because he lived close to
