I know some people here have rebuilt NiCad battery packs, so I’m looking for some guidance.
I’ve got a Hoover robotic vacuum that has a 12 volt NiCad battery pack that’s made up of what appears to be 10 - “SubC” 1.2V 2200mAh cells. I’m looking at any number of sources for these, and was wondering if the color of the cell has any bearing on what the cell is, that is, does the color designate something? I see green (mine are green), yellow, red, blue, etc. and wasn’t sure if color matters. Granted, they all appear to be the same rating, so I’m assuming that color is just a choice of the manufacturer. Prices all seem to be pretty much the same as well. I’m going to try and find some name brand batteries, but on initial search there don’t seem to be any offerings from names I recognize. I’ll continue to search.
