It is all in perspective.
A 50k mile caddy is 1/3 spent, if the average lifespan of a caddy is
150k miles. That would leave you 100k useable miles.
An SDL with 250k and no rust is 1/4 spent, figuring a lifespan of 1
million. That leaves 750k to go.
The cost of ownership of the SDL is less
And what does Loren have to say about this?

True. But, I paid less than half what Loren wanted for his SDL and it has MUCH
less than half the mileage.

I had a 1988 5sd, 4cyl. I beat on it for 75Kmi. Sold it because I'd
abused it so much, I figured it's life was about up.
You see, I used it to tow my 3,500# camper all over the place. When

I seem to remember that buzzed it to

It is a 5 speed. The pictures don't show any v-6 logo. I have asked

Guy in my DC-area carpool had a Trooper (not sure of the year). It was a bit
crude when it came to the interior but pulled through an unbelievable amount
of snow. We kept chugging along when everyone else had slid off of I-95. It
wasn't fast but it was rugged and I'd love to own one. Sort of like a

The GM 2.8 v6 was used in lots of things, and really was not a shining moment
in GM's engineering. I came to dislike them from downsized cherokees, and

A good friend has an 89, should be fairly similar. His has the 2.6 EFI four
cylinder, which has been pretty solid. Ironically, the company he bought it
from had an 89 pickup with the same engine, but that engine never ran right,
always used a ton of oil, and always had difficulty with smog, even wh
