The BART, in the Bay Area of San Francisco, enjoys huge popularity because  
it is subsidized by the bridge tolls which were supposed to be abolished when  
the bridges were paid for (about 40 years ago).  
 
Here, in Phoenix, the rapid transit effort will no doubt be called the  
PHART!
