Phil was the first foreign-born astronaut in the US space program as an Apollo
astronaut. He gave me my first “real” job and was a great funny extremely smart
crazy totally amazing guy (pure Aussie!). He just missed flying on an Apollo
Mission to the Moon when the program was cancelled. I think
