I noticed that those Brands were unfamiliar although the prices were great.
I doubt I will be doing a lot of driving as the 300sd has historic plates
which limits me.

I have less than a grand in my rim clamp machine and balancer. It’s very
convenient being able to pop a tire off a rim, swap tires, install new tires
etc. Saves a ton of time having to go to a tire shop and wait around for them
to try and sell me additional crap. Seems like the rate for mount

Better do the maths, buddy. I can pay for a lot of tire swaps and balances for
what you’ve spent on equipment. Not to mention the space it takes up.

Discount tire direct or tires easy. Your best bet for these size tires is
probably going to be tires easy. They have a lot more options but you never
heard of most. Just an FIY I just bought a set of Lexin or something like that
as they were actually H rated tires and seemed to be the best bet.
tirerack.com but you'll have to pay a local shop for mounting and balancing, so
it may not be a huge savings in the end. They do have a great selection though,
more than most retail shops have.

The Michelins on my new '85 300SD have good tread but a 2012 date code and
ride harshly over rough roads due to age related stiffness.
What's a good website for discounted tires?
