The engines, with a couple of exceptions, are basically indestructible. Rust is what kills a Peugeot, indeed any French car of that vintage. The engine in that car is probably the XN6 with Bosch K-Jet injection, although it might be Bosch L-Jet injection depending on market. http://www.vectorbd

The 505 is supremely comfortable and one of the most timeless sedan bodies ever designed. For a car released in 1979 to look contemporary well into this century is quite an achievement (much like the W126, which along with the W108 is among the most beautiful and timeless MBs ever released). Mo
