I missed that it was 4kW, looking at it though it's obviously small.
It'd be good for a battery charger as solar backup. Strange unit otherwise, a
quiet generattle I suppose...

Well, that's different then. That seems to be a pretty good
price for a reasonably-sized genny, if it works. I'd seriously
consider it, were it local. (Big Bertha is just too damned
thirsty.)

4kW is woefully undersized for most folks. I think 10-12kW is more
what is thought of as 'whole house'. Smaller than the usual rope-pull
genny. You could make it work, but you'd probably better be thinking
'tiny house', or maybe Green Acres. The usual electric hot water heater
(tank) is 4+kW
