(fuel filter center bolt and housing)
I talked to the local mechanic who has a stash of old MBZ Diesel parts in the form of about a dozen junk diesel cars in his back lot. He said he had some parts but encouraged me to try and get that stripped allen bolt out and switch the parts I had. I thought I might have to drill the top of the bolt off but I started by hammering and chiseling. I managed to get the bolt out without drilling (I never thought it would work) I then switched the housing with the one from my other engine. I started it up and no leak! I will take it for a test drive later today but I don't expect any problems. I'm glad you all talked me out of the teflon fix. I unfortunately lapse into my hack mechanic skills when I am running short of patience and/or time.
Thank you all for your help
