I think everything since '86 (the 560SL and beyond) is premium only.

I am curious as to the fuel requirements of the SL series.. I know that the old
450's take regular as does the 380's to 1984. What is the octane rating of the
others I have been seeing many other SL's through like 1998 and would like to
know the rating of these cars.
I cannot find it on the net
