My local PO (NW D.C.) is open 7 days a week and practically empty late
afternoons Sat. and Sun. Still, some of the clerks seem to take immense
satisfaction in putting me down because I am not prepared with the proper
forms for sending stuff to Canada Fedex is convenient, UPS less so.

No, many of us do it. By "free" I don't mean that I don't pay the shipping
costs, I mean that I don't pay any sort of surcharge for pickup. I reimburse
the corporation once a month when we get the FedEx bill.

I have just started using this process and it is just great!
I print down the mailing label and pay for the postage all at the same
time. Actually, I do this through Ebay and Paypal most of the time
when I sell something.

I have given up on UPS unless there is no other way. I recently shipped two
Porsche wheels by Fedex Ground in two wheel boxes taped together to LA from
Seattle. I dropped the package at Kinkos at 2pm on a Tuesday and the box was in
