What sort of labor is required in hours to swap out the turbocharge
assembly? He will be exchanging like for like (2 CA version turbos).

the air tube to the air cleaner more similar to a 603 than the old u
pipe on any other 617. Something got sucked in though.

I can tell you exactly what happened because I did this myself. When they put
the engine in when they were putting the u pipe for the air cleaner back on one
of the big o rings was not seated in there right and got sucked into the turbo
and caused exactly what you described. Had it happen to me
Yes definitely check the differential oil level. Also ask our trusty friend
Gael to have a listen. He's the differential master. BTW, when I hear a whining
noise in my car it usually has an obvious explanation- female:)

I've got a W123 diff for you. Should be in good shape, it had an easy life
behind a OM616 with automatic trans. Would make a strong running turbo super
quick around town, and get 40mpg (indicated) on the freeway. I wonder how many
1985 123s Kaleb crushed last month.
