Yup, my welding improved substantially the year I kept piecing the '84 190D
exhaust back together. I kept fixing it and it kept breaking. Eventually it was
more repair than original pipe...

assuming the metal is not all rusted away. Doesn't matter how
ugly the weld is, and the metal is relatively heavy.
