this applies if the car has a security system I believe.
It's the vacuum pump itself that seems to get confused,
nothing to do with the (separate) security system.

I have to look. #13 says "Clock, Hazard warning, Central locking"
But you are correct. Unplugging the pump eliminates any confusion.

In the 124 CD, there is a procedure to "reset" the vacuum pump. I
had never heard of this, or done it. There may be a similar
procedure on the 126. Should be 80- something on the CD
