On an equally sized engine a turbo will increase efficiency something like 30%
and result in better mileage. Same for an intercooler.
Look at the 617 equipped 300D, the pre-turbo ones tend to average around 24mpg,
turbo models are more like 26 while having more power...

On Saturday,
The $500E300 was a great car and engine. Lots of fun, good torques.

Yes in theory, but they have a pretty good reputation for longevity and low
maintenance. Boost control and wastegate control stuff has to be maintained
well; it is all a complex vacuum thing like the egr.

The turbo motor has stronger rods and the wrist pins are a couple mm bigger
diameter. It has truly modern performance and good turbo spool because the
turbine is tiny. Great motor. You can send the pump for bigger elements and
get a controller from baldur in Iceland to tune the car up a bit, if
more parts to break. More points of failure.

Gotcha both, thanks!
The guy (dealer) that had the non-turbo started jerking me around this morning
when I confirmed a time with him. He started texting me about how there was
someone else coming at the same time who said they were bringing cash. I told
him I would stand down and let them have
Its the same 606

The same 24v 606, but with a turbo, and, first time in a MBZ, intercooler.

I’m seeing both non-turbo (OM606) and turbo (?) engined W210s in my

what, if any, advantages would the turbo
