112 is an odd duck too. the early ones were 111 type Heckflosse, but a
later subtype had the fins rounded off. The second type 112 is a
beautiful car, still in today's world. They shared the 3 L engine
history with the 300 Adenauer and the 300SL
110, 111, 112 look dated, like a 57 chevy, bu
W114 is 6 cylinders, W115 is less than that (4 or 5 cylinders). The 300D is a
bit of an odd duck in that it is a W115 chassis but has a W114 dash (with the
shrivelling speaker grill vs the low-budge but indestructible fixed grille),
unlike the 240D which had the W115 dash.

I think the W114 had the 6 cylinder vergasser engines, the W115 had all the
rest, but I could be very wrong . . .
