Yea, BuyMBParts has one of those. It is called the RustyQ. :-)

Had to go and pick up come computer stuff today, and the dealer is right
next door. I always go and have a little look around. Large number of cars
on the used lot. The had a G wagon done to AMG spec. I'm not a real SUV
type person, but I've always like this one. To me it's a truck with grunt.
You haven't driven my 300TD. It looks clunky but can drag with most cars on
the road (not that I would ever do that).

I guess my 1983 300TD and '70 280SE 3.5 coupe are both "Q ships".

Andrew,
Here's a "Q ship".. 1992 500E at StarFest - Spring Mountain
Raceway in Pahrump, NV
and Kaleb might strip it off so the bunch can't see it

That's a negatory - the 300TD is no Q-ship. It doesn't look fast and (most
importantly) ISN'T fast.
The 3.5 -might- be a Q ship, but the coupe design probably makes it look
fast.
True MB Q-ships are cars like the 6.3, 6.9, and 500E - sedate-looking sedans
that have jaw-dropping performance.

If that's the case then you must have some propane injection or other such
option to boost your 83 300td to double it's horsepower... I figure my 83
300D has the same power and less weight than your td and I think it goes
about as fast as it looks. If anything, mine perhaps sounds faster than it

This dates back to WWII, when it referred to an anti-submarine warship
disguised to look like a merchant vessel.
What's a "Q ship"?
