Was this during the Daimler-Chrysler years?
If any Chrylser electrical bits made it on to the parts sheet, electrical
problems would go without saying. Almost as bad as Lucas in my experience.

I think these had lots of electrical issues. My neighbor in Houston had
a C wagon of about this vintage and MB ended up crediting her for a
newer car after she dealt with hers for 2yr. This one looks nice enough
might be worth someone to fool around with it
