Thanks Grant! I saw some Diesel fuel transfer pumps at an auction preview today - was thinking of one of them for gasoline. If I took the same precautions, I'd think they would work for gas as well. On Wed, Nov 18, 2020 at 6:02 PM G Mann via Mercedes wrote: > Don, > To answer your question

Don, To answer your question about using the Harbor Freight pump to move gasoline, or fuel. I routinely use mine to pump diesel and gas at the ranch. Obviously, you need to observe good safety while doing it with gas... with diesel, not nearly as likely to touch off a fire, but still possible.

I've got a little battery pump that goes pretty fast. Its a stick with a hose coming out of it. The snowmobile shop near my house had one for emptying tanks on new machines, 5 gallons in less than a minute.I don't remember why I bought mine but its pretty handy. I got it at the hardware store.

If you had a fleet and were going to be doing it often, get a garden pump sprayer and cut the spray head off (or not). https://www.homedepot.com/b/Outdoors-Garden-Center-Sprayers-Pump-Sprayers/N-5yc1vZ2fkoqg6 Rick ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list

Some years ago, I solved the problem of oil in odd places with a small electric 12 volt pump, a length of low voltage lighting wire and battery clamps with a switch wired in at the pump. I have used it to evacuate oil and to refill both. Totally makes it an easy job, and once you own one, it's

good idea.  I have a little hand pump in the garage, I think I got it for siphoning gas but I bet it would work for this too, it's like this one https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/performance-tool-multi-use-pump-w1145/7071094-p I'll give it a try and if not will get one of the pumps you said

Thanks, the ML manual says the transfer case for the ML should be Dexron 3 or Dexron 2E, I saw the 236 specs in some Benzworld post I think, somewhere.  VML says nothing about Dexron specs I have some M1 ATF around I think, only needs 1.5L. I watched this Hoovie vid about changing fluids on

Both differentials would be Mobil 1 75W-90 gear oil. I would use Mobil 1 “multi vehicle” synthetic ATF in the transfer case. I say that because there is a big difference in viscosity between 236.10 (original recommendation) and 236.14 (current ATF spec). It’s a difference of 7.0 for 236.14 and
