Repeat the job in a few thousand miles -- when they are "tight",
carbon builds up on the valve stems, and gives you a false setting.
As the carbon wears off with the added clearance, they go tight again
and still don't seal. If they go tight in a few thousand miles, set
them at bit loose
I have to say that the adjustment of the valves on my poor old engine
appears to have been a success.
It starts easier and seems to run smoother.
I should have done it long ago.
Not much of a job really. Took some time but was about as easy as it
gets apart from the one valve where the "special"
