Get about 6ft of vacuum line, put it on the shutoff hose fitting, run it
inside the car and when you want to shut it off just suck on it a bit.
Easier than replacing the vac pump or whatever in the cold!

That "trick" works well with a W210.025 (drive by wire), but I cannot
vouch for newer stuff.
It makes it easier to hold a line as you pull through curves... And
you don't throw people around as much.
It is the one place you can expose even a slight punt of turbo lag.
