New record here in Michigan. Today, diesel was $1.20/gallon higher than
regular gas--$3.499 for diesel and $2.299 for regular unleaded.

For once I'm feeling fortunate to be in Western PA and shopping diesel. I
can get it for 2.999 or 2.959 at a couple of places within a few miles of
home. Regular gasoline is coming in at about 2.499 at the same stations.

I drove from central to southwestern Indiana and back today, and diesel
prices ranged from $3.09 per gallon* to $3.68 per gallon. I noticed
that some stations have taken to advertising the price of the off-road
diesel (the stuff the farmers buy that doesn't include road-use tax).

I feel almost evil in pointing out that diesel here in central MA dropped
another $0.04 yesterday.
$2.85 this morning. Gas is something like $2.60.
