[MBZ] smoking 103

There is a guy who has a 93 TE I am interested in, has 190k on it he says it has grey smoke when you get it up to about 2k. from the description it seems like maybe it doesnt smoke until you rev it up. What could the deal be with that, bad valve guide seals or something? -- Kaleb C.
