Here are some tips on soldering galvanized metal

they say WELDING it might make you ill but not deal
you might try soldering it with a large electric soldering iron or
with a copper heat on the stove one
you might want to do it outside or wear a respirator or a scott air
pac as i sometimes do when handling
poisons
i'd just do it with a torch outside and not breath the fumes
