I bought my '62 MGA in '68, and sold it in '80. I used the lucas
generator when I did transplanted the Olds 215 engine in because of
the smaller diameter vs an alternator. The only electrical part that I
had trouble with was the fuel pump, but it had been replaced with an
American model before the
I got the MGB in 1987 (I think), sold it in 1996. Never even blew out a
headlight.
I am sure the bubble-headed Florida chic who bought it immediately trashed
it. Sad. She knew nothing about cars, just wanted a '71 MGB because that was
the year she was born. And it was cute. And yellow, her favorit
