When using the mixtures (such as Freeze 12) you must completely empty and evacuate the system before filling to insure there is NO air or water vapor in the system. The components of the blends leak at different rates so the mixes can't be "topped up." Must be emptied and then filled with fresh

Yes, you MUST evacuate before charging, else the air causes low capacity problems. You can also get ice from water vapor in the expansion valve, or worse, rupture the dessicant bag in the receiver/dryer and wreck the compressor. Peter
